During a recent inspection at an independent pharmacy in Indiana, government officials determined that vials used to store injectable drugs were not sterile, according to the United States Food and Drug Administration. The pharmacy – Nora Apothecary & Alternative Therapies – is recalling all drugs it compounded, saying that patients are at increased risk for serious infections. The recall includes approximately 95 does the pharmacy supplied to Indiana medical offices, approximately 400 prescriptions for Indiana patients, as well as a small handful of prescriptions for patients in Illinois, Ohio, Florida and Tennessee.
